Tracy Mason

A Florida native with deep roots in the Sarasota, Venice, and Englewood communities, Tracy Mason serves as Community Outreach Director for the Florida Conservation Group and Lost Girl Prairie Ranch, a 1,300-acre ranch protected under a conservation easement that is used to showcase agricultural conservation efforts. Tracy offers both organizations a lifelong commitment to service, education, and community engagement, and a passion for the region where she has spent much of her life living, working, and raising her family.

She began her career in the Governor’s Office under Governor Lawton Chiles, where she supported operations within the correspondence and travel departments. She later transitioned into education, teaching accelerated middle school language arts in Charlotte and Sarasota counties. Across five years in the classroom, she was known for fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong sense of community among her students. Tracy also worked alongside her husband, building and managing his independent Raymond James office, helping coordinate client relations, networking opportunities, and community events.

In addition to her professional experience, Tracy has played an active role in supporting local organizations. She has served on school advisory committees, maintaining a strong connection to local education and youth development.

At Lost Girl Prairie Ranch, Tracy leads outreach and education efforts centered on ranchland conservation, rural watershed protection, water quality, and Florida’s natural ecosystems. She is also engaged in developing local food initiatives and ecotourism opportunities that highlight and elevate the region’s agricultural heritage and natural beauty.

Having witnessed firsthand the growth and change across Sarasota County, Tracy is passionate about promoting responsible development that preserves Florida’s landscapes, wildlife, and way of life. She is dedicated to fostering meaningful community connections and inspiring stewardship for the land for generations to come.
